Founded in 1919, the club purchased its present ground at Ovenden Park in 1925. Halifax enjoyed a formidable fixture list before the advant of league rugby in 1987. |

Huddersfield Rugby Union Football Club, one of the oldest rugby clubs in Yorkshire, has pioneered change in the game since the 19th Century and founded mini rugby in England in 1969. After playing many years at the Waterloo, Huddersfield moved to Lockwood Park in 1997 where the club continues to grow and develop. |
Born in the early 1960`s Knottingley RUFC, through hard work by many people, has gone from strength to strength. |

Old Rishworthians are one of six clubs who play rugby union in Halifax, West Yorkshire. The seniors section run a 1st XV who now play in Yorkshire 4 after gaining promotion as Yorkshire 5B Champions, and a 2nd XV playing in the Yorkshire 4 merit table.
We run a thriving mini/junior section from under 6 to under 17 plus colts. |
